Bob
Hong has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors
of the Company since October 7, 1999. His responsibilities
include managing the Company’s vision and direction,
securing sources of financing for its expansion
and operation, and developing contacts and strategic
relationships necessary to assist in developing
and expanding the Company’s business and operations
in the Asia Pacific region. Since 1985, Mr. Hong
has served as Chairman of TCI Group, LP, a firm
located in Pasadena, California, with investment
interests in hi-tech and telecommunications in
Asia and the United States. He also serves as
a Director of Bridge Technology Corporation, a
NASDAQ-listed company also located in Pasadena,
the subsidiaries of which supply data backup systems
and mass storage systems and sell computer components.
Mr. Hong has also served since 1999 as Chairman
of Global Bridge E-Net, a technology and broadband
wireless network firm, and as Chairman and majority
owner since 1984 of West Covina Office Building
LLC, a Southern California real estate investing
and development concern. From 1997 to present,
he has served as Co-founder and Senior Director
of the Board of the University of Southern California
School of Pharmacy Analytical Service and Research
Laboratories and as Chairman of Beijing Wells
Medical and Healthcare Consultant Co., an importer
and distributor of healthcare products with offices
in China. From 1998 to present, Mr. Hong has
also served as Managing Director for C-Net Cottesole
Capital Corporation, a due diligence consulting
and investment banking firm to small businesses.
From 1979 to 1998, he served as Chairman and President
of Great Asia Corp., a Taiwanese helmet maker.
From 1980 to 1983, he was Co-founder and Managing
Director of Pan Overseas Trading Co., the first
of the so-called “Big Trading Firms” in Taiwan.
Mr. Hong received a Bachelors degree in Business
Administration from Ten Jeng University in Taiwan.
