Description
Primary
responsibility to implement firewall systems protecting
client. Additional duties will include log analysis,
intrusion detection, and traffic analysis. Requirements:
Familiarity with Sun hardware platform, including
system hardware, networking and video expansion
cards, CPU's, etc...; experience with UNIX or
LINUX operating systems (Solaris Preferred); Firewall,
Router, DNS, or other LAN/ WAN Internet experience.Perform
tasks associated with providing security solutions
for internetworking. Provide support for the implementation
of security for intranet and extranet capabilities,
online internet connectivity, and online hosting
of management functions. Support development of
security for web-enabled applications, web site
hosting and access, COTS integration, and commercialization
of networks. Turn customer intra-, extra-, and
internetworking requirements into security architectures
and designs satisfying these requirements in a
cost-effective manner. Experienced in conducting
network security assessments. Hands-on experience
with configuration of firewalls and routers. Knowledge
of PKI and digital certificates. Experienced with
Intrusion Detection System tools, incident response
and network security policy development. Disaster
Recovery Planning expertise a plus. Work in close
cooperation with technology specialists to determine
best technical solution satisfying customer's
requirements.

Education
B.S. in Computer Science, electrical
engineering, or similar field.
Experience/Skills
Required
At least eight years experience with providing
security for networking and/or information systems
engineering required. Requires knowledge of and
experience with implementing security solutions
for internetworking technologies, protocols, hardware,
and software, and web hosting and web-enabled
applications. Knowledge of and experience with
security capabilities for leading-edge networking
technologies such as ATM and frame-relay required.
Proven ability to work with customers to define
requirements and technical issues.
