Description
Will
be responsible for all aspects of UNIX server
implementation and maintenance. Will perform all
backups, upgrades, network inter-operability and
security of all UNIX servers. Will act as support
for UNIX servers and all dependent applications
via Perl or Shell scripts. Will be responsible
for managing multiple projects related to the
UNIX server equipment, and for the support of
enterprise applications running on UNIX servers,
including configuration, monitoring, securing
and tuning. Must be knowledgeable of new server
hardware technologies. Knowledge of enterprise
backup systems design, implementation and troubleshooting
are essential. Must be well versed in UNIX securing
and networking. Must also understand networking
and network design. Installation and setup of
various versions of Oracle Databases Sufficient
working knowledge of UNIX and NT operating systems,
to include the operation of Oracle Databases in
UNIX and NT environments (Knowledge of Sun Solaris
2.x operating systems is a plus). Familiarity
with import/export databases and use of tools
used to load or move data between databases. Familiarity
with SQL*Plus, PL/SQL, Enterprise Manager, SQL*Net,
to include coding and working in SQL.

Requires
a minimum of 3 years extensive UNIX experience
on Sun server. Must be a team player with a future
desire to lead or supervise people. Firewall experience
a must. Knowledge of Microsoft NT, Oracle and
ERP systems helpful, but not required.
